The McLean’s & the Murrays
These two clans fought together at the battle of Culloden, Scotland in April of 1746. The photo shows that many of them were buried together in a mass grave.
Battle of Culloden – photo from Wikipedia
This photo of Culloden was taken by my son Matt McLean, who was in Scotland with RCACC Seaforth Highlanders Army Cadets of Port Coquitlam in 2008. My younger son Robert also went on the same exchange tour, two years later in 2010.

Robert Alexander Murray
My great grandfather Murray, enlisted for WWI at age 42! His unit was the 67th Battalion CEF (Western Scots) where he was a foreman for “Field Entrenchment”. He served until he was discharged for health reasons. He developed Myalgia, then by 1917 Tachycardia. He was a L. Cpl by that time. See his profile here | More about the 67th Battalion CEF, “Western Scots”.
