Converted from VHS
All the videos have been converted from VHS to a digital file up until about 2000. There after things were filmed with my phone or digital camera.
1980 – 89, Anniversaries & Gatherings
Below are a gallery for the 80’s and one for the 90’s. Video quality is not the best on the earlier videos from the 80’s especially. They were converted from my dad’s VHS tapes years later. The tapes from the 90’s onward show improvement.
These videos have my Grandma & Grandpa Roadhouse, aunts and uncles, many family members who are no longer with us. This section also includes a custom “mini” KW truck that my Uncle Murray Roadhouse built himself! He was a truck driver for Aggressive Trucking in Langley BC for most of his life. He loved trucking and it inspired him to make this build. He took the little truck to car shows and later eventually sold it.
Henry Family Reunion 1986
This family reunion video was taken by my dad when he and my mom attended in about July of 1986. Video quality was poor as it was the 80’s, but it is still enjoyable. It shows that the Henry’s are a very musical bunch!
Our Wedding – Dan & Judy McLean wedding video, July 4, 1987
There are 2 videos in this section. One is done by the videographer… That was a new thing back then! My dad hired him because he had to be a participant in the wedding (giving me away lol) so he didn’t want to miss a thing. He did set his own camera up and had someone run it for him for the duration. The videographer did fail to get the kiss at the “you may kiss the bride” part for whatever reason. My dad’s version did get it thankfully!

- Carolyn McLean playing Hopper family violin
- The video of Carolyn McLean (daughter of Dan’s brother David) playing my dad’s 143 year old violin. We believe that this may be the violin in the Murray Family band portrait. The violin was handed down to my Grandmother Helen (Nellie) and she passed it to my dad Murray. My dad had Carolyn who is a violin expert repaired and tuned the old violin. My son Matthew expressed interest in learning to play, therefore the violin is now in his care.
